Writing Plans for the Future

With the recent publication of book 8 in the Adam Lapid series, In That Sleep of Death, it is now time to plan for the future. I have a lot of ideas and ambitions in regard to my future writing, and I'll share some of my thoughts in this post.

I am currently writing book 9 in the Adam Lapid series. This novel is set in Germany 1945, shortly after the end of WWII. Chronologically, it is the second book in the series following The Auschwitz Detective. I am planning another European Adam Lapid novel after that. This will likely be book 10.

I am also planning to write a Holocaust novel based on a true story. I won't say more about this at this time since I still need to do a lot of research, but it's an incredible story of survival and bravery, and I want to share it with more people.

As for the more distant future, I will of course continue writing more Adam Lapid novels set in Israel. I have the kernels of several ideas, and I think it will be fascinating to continue following Adam's journey toward rebuilding his life in the new State of Israel.

I also want to write an Adam Lapid novel set in Hungary in the 1930s. This is when Adam worked as a policeman in Hungary, when he still had a family, before the Holocaust shattered his world.

I have ideas for other books as well, including a sequel to my single non-Adam Lapid novel The Payback Girl as well as ideas for a new series, but these are pretty down the list of projects I intend to pursue, so I'll leave those for a future post.

I hope you're as excited as I am about the future of my writing. Thank you for reading my books.
