Israel under attack and one piece of good news

Around 5:00 a.m. Israel time, the Israeli Air Force conducted a widespread pre-emptive attack against Hezbollah missile launchers that were about to attack Tel Aviv.

According to reports, all the launchers were destroyed. So far, no missiles have fallen in the Tel Aviv area.

However, a massive Hezbollah bombardment is now ongoing in the north of Israel. Rockets, missiles, and drones in the hundreds. Attacks by Israeli planes in the south of Lebanon are proceeding as well.

A general state of emergency has been declared in Israel.

I knew something was going on in the night. I heard plenty of airplanes and one helicopter passed so close to my building, I was worried it was about to crash.

So far, there have been no alarms in my town. I'll keep you posted.

I promised you one piece of good news. Here it is:

On November 17, I'll be joining the good folks of the Pelham Jewish Center book club on Zoom to discuss my latest novel, In That Sleep of Death, the eighth Adam Lapid novel. This will be my second meeting with this book club.

If you're a member of a book club, I hope you'll consider picking one of the Adam Lapid books to discuss. There are discussion questions at the end of each book.

Here's to better times. May they come soon.
